Statewide Records Analyst

We are looking for highly motivated and adaptable individuals to join our Regional Administration Team of professionals that ensure compliance with records management and our business processes. Under the direction of the Statewide Business Supervisor, the Statewide Records Analyst will work to ensure that DTSC’s records management practices and policies are followed. Support the Statewide Services Record Management Coordinator to analyze, develop, manage, provide improvement recommendations, implement, and review Regional Administrative Services processes and procedures related to records management, procurement, budget tracking, contract development and tracking, reception, mail services, meeting and conference room facilitation, petty cash and equipment and supply management.
As an Analyst I you will have the opportunity to:- Develop, implement, and audit procedures for the organization, tracking, and reconciling of DTSC files at the statewide level including all paper records, electronic records, records rooms, and storage facilities
- Provide recommendations around systems to identify Clean up, Enforcement, and Permitting site files
- Act as the main point of contact by researching, answering internal inquiries, and advising staff on best practices
- Participate in developing policies and procedures to provide training to programs on records management
- Assist in the review, approval, and processing of all Records Retention Schedules to ensure programs are compliant with State Administration Manual (SAM)
Desirable Qualifications We Look For:
- Record or file management experience
- Project management and milestone tracking of deliverables/progress experience
- Analytical and communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to take initiative, meet deadlines, and pay attention to detail
- Experience with purchasing and budgeting
- Experience with training and delivering customer support
- Technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams, knowledge of TabFusion a plus)
- Ability to be flexible and adaptive to changing priorities and challenging situations
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Working Conditions
Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month. For more details, please click here .
