If you are passionate about building the best mobile app experience, join us at BILL. We are seeking a talented Senior Android Engineer to join our mobile accounts payable team. As a core functionality of BILL, accounts payable encompasses features such as creating bills, approval workflows, paying bills, inbox management, and more. We need a developer who can innovate and collaborate effectively with design and product teams to enhance these core functionalities and deliver a seamless user experience. You should have a strong understanding of modern mobile architecture, test driven development and an appetite for innovative mobile technologies. You will be expected to mentor other mobile engineers and help define, design and implement quality code. Join us as we make our journey to a mobile first experience.

We'd love to chat if you have:

• 5+ years of Android mobile development using Kotlin / Java
• Published one or more Android apps to the Google Play Store
• Experience developing and maintaining advanced Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern architectural patterns using MVVM and Clean architecture
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK and different versions of Android
• Experience improving code quality through unit testing, automation testing, and performance testing
• Experience providing technical leadership to our amazing engineering team to build our next generation Android applications.
• A proven ability to work alongside cross functional engineering teams, product and design to drive our aggressive road map
• Experience mentoring team members and leading project from conception through implementation
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

The estimated salary range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

San Jose pay range $145,600—$174,700 USD
