Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Profession: RN - Med/Surg Specialty: RN - Med/Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support) required Must-Have: - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Acute care facility experience preferred - Required certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire Description: Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyze the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes. Identify outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborate with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe and caring environment. Provide learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provide health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Adhere to organizational requirements regarding vaccinations. Participate in E-Verify as necessary. Engage in a workplace committed to safety and well-being. Maintain a commitment to teamwork and collaboration within the healthcare environment. Support a culture of quality improvement and patient safety.
