Bar Lead
Cineopera is opening in Arts District by downtown and we’re looking for Bar Leads to join our opening team! Cineopera is an upscale casual rooftop marketplace featuring a full bar, counter-service kitchen, movie screen, and retail shop — all designed to create a vibrant, welcoming space where the community can gather, unwind, and connect.
Open Friday - Sunday availability required, full availability preferred. All Bar Leads will start as part-time with opportunity for full-time based on availability, performance, and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily bar operations while maintaining a high standard of hospitality, professionalism, and service execution.
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and attention to detail.
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of all beverage offerings, ingredients, and seasonal menu updates.
- Assist with bar menu development, cocktail recipes, and beverage presentation standards.
- Provide warm, attentive, and knowledgeable guest service while creating a welcoming bar atmosphere.
- Train, mentor, and support bar staff on service standards, beverage preparation, and responsible alcohol service.
- Monitor bar cleanliness, organization, and sanitation to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain proper inventory levels, assist with ordering, and communicate product needs or shortages to management.
- Accurately handle cash, tabs, and POS transactions while ensuring accountability and efficiency.
- Verify guest identification and ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with all local and state regulations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house leadership to support smooth daily operations and overall guest experience.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including prep, stocking, and end-of-night reconciliation tasks.
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service and handle complaints professionally.
- Answer guest questions regarding food & beverage menu items, ingredients, and offerings.
- Maintain strong knowledge of all food & beverage menu items, including allergens and dietary considerations.
- Support overall front-of-house operations and contribute to a positive guest experience.
Qualifications:
- Valid food handler certificate preferred.
- RBS certificate required.
- General allergen knowledge required.
- Strong liquor and/or wine knowledge required.
- Experience working in an upscale casual and high volume restaurant as a bartender or bar lead preferred.
- Be comfortable with repetitive motions such as walking, bending and standing during your scheduled shift.
- Be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
Compensation:
- $17.87 hourly rate.
- This position is included in a full-house tip pool.
