Your Impact

As a 3rd Shift Machine Operator, you will be a vital contributor to our production process, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing lines. Your sharp eye for detail and proactive approach will be critical in maintaining our high standards.

  • Operate Advanced Machinery: Skillfully set up, operate, and monitor cutting-edge production machinery, ensuring adherence to specifications and production schedules. This includes loading materials, adjusting settings, and overseeing automated processes.
  • Quality Assurance Champion: Conduct thorough in-process inspections and testing of products, utilizing precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and quality against blueprints and technical drawings. You will be instrumental in ensuring every product meets our rigorous standards.
  • Continuous Improvement Driver: Actively participate in real-time analysis of production data and processes to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and quality enhancements. Your insights will help drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proactive Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks and conduct initial troubleshooting of machine issues to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. You will be the first line of defense against operational interruptions.
  • Collaborative Problem Solver: Effectively communicate and collaborate with the Maintenance team to swiftly resolve complex mechanical or electrical issues, ensuring machines are back online with minimal delay.
  • Data Integrity Steward: Accurately collect and meticulously enter production data into our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system (e.g., JD Edwards) and maintain detailed records in Excel spreadsheets throughout your shift.
  • Safety & Organization Advocate: Maintain an impeccably organized and safe workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and proactively identifying and reporting any potential machine malfunctions or safety hazards.

Essential Qualifications

To thrive in this role, we are looking for a candidate who possesses a solid foundation of technical skills and a commitment to operational excellence.

  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Technical Aptitude: Proven mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand machine operations, perform basic troubleshooting, and execute routine maintenance tasks.
  • Measurement Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Data Entry Skills: Competency in basic computer operations, including data entry into Excel spreadsheets and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards) or similar production tracking software.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the essential functions of this position, which may include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally, bending, and reaching, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Working With Us

This is a full-time position based onsite at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The role is for our 3rd shift, typically operating from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with potential for occasional weekend shifts and overtime as production needs dictate. All necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools will be provided.
