What You Will Do

As a Backend Software Engineer, youll be responsible for designing and scaling systems that power mission-critical applications. Depending on your strengths and interests, youll have opportunities to focus on infrastructure, platform, or product development. Key responsibilities include:

• Architecting and implementing scalable backend systems and APIs.

• Building secure, high-performance infrastructure to support rapid growth.

• Developing APIs, tools, and services to accelerate developer productivity.

• Powering customer-facing applications with seamless backend services.

• Collaborating cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering peers.

• Ensuring system reliability, performance, and security.

• Participating in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high standards.

• (For senior candidates) Mentoring junior engineers and leading projects.

Ideal Candidate Background

• Strong proficiency in backend programming (e.g., Java, Go, or Node.js).

• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).

• Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred (for Senior-level Engineers)

• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Exposure to large-scale data processing or event-driven architectures.

• Experience mentoring or leading teams.
