The Investments team helps asset owners across the world solve their investment problems. We offer a range of services across different delivery models, including advisory services, outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO), Total Funds Solutions (TFS), Specialist Portfolio Solutions (SPS), and analytics & tools to give investors access to best-in-class ideas and meet their long-term investment goals.

As a Sales Director, you will drive the success of our investment business by working with the US Head of Growth and the Growth team to expand our client base, sell new business, connect our intellectual capital with client demand, and increase WTW's penetration into the US corporate pension plan market. You will assess regional market needs and oversee distribution activities, aiming to deliver profitable, sustainable growth in the US, strengthening relationships with existing clients and expanding efficiently with a focus on sales process and effectiveness.

You will collaborate across various stakeholders including the Head of Growth, Head of Clients, client teams, and WTW-wide sales and client management teams to bring the best of WTW to grow our investments presence.

Reporting to the Head of Growth, US, you will be part of a motivated team of industry-leading commercial talent.

  • Execute a strategic distribution plan across our services and solutions, refining strategies based on client needs and market opportunities.
  • Build strong, sustainable relationships with market influencers and client teams.
  • Maintain understanding of competitive dynamics.
  • Drive a culture of disciplined business development to sustain a pipeline.
  • Participate in pursuit processes, collaborating with internal teams to drive sales.

Teamwork

  • Work with a motivated, aligned team focused on growth strategies, organizing activities, coaching, and training.
  • Develop a culture of mentorship and talent development.
  • Promote an inclusive, equitable culture supporting workforce diversity.

Excellence

  • Contribute to growth, brand, and collateral strategies.
  • Track activity and effectiveness through key metrics and pipeline management.
  • Maximize win rates through well-prepared prospect meetings and pitches.
  • Provide feedback on solution relevance for the US market, influencing product development and strategy.
  • Develop expertise to lead prospect meetings, pitches, generate interest, and close sales.

Financial

  • Build a pipeline to generate $2 million in annualized revenue.
  • Develop a diverse, multi-year pipeline in the region.
  • Work with teams on pricing strategies.
  • Prioritize client interests and market integrity.

Qualifications

We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds with relevant experience :

  • Experience in investment sales, preferably in professional services or selling into such firms.
  • Experience managing an effective sales process across various client types and service models.
  • Knowledge of the corporate pension industry, DB and DC plans is a plus.
  • Strong business development, leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Leadership qualities that support career development and promote an inclusive culture.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is $185,000 to $215,000 USD annually, with eligibility for bonuses based on performance. WTW offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, welfare, retirement, and paid leave benefits.
