A leading university seeks a Project Assistant to support the Lab within their Prevention Research Center (SPRC) focused on well-being, cancer prevention, and health research of the Asian American population. The lab is seeking a self-motivated and well-organized temporary project assistant to provide clerical support for various research studies.
Lab Project Assistant Responsibilities:
- Responsible for filing, photocopying, printing, scanning, performing data entry, and preparing mailings of study-related documents and materials.
- Assist with weekly drop-offs of mailings at the local United States Postal Office (USPS) Bulk Mail Office in Palo Alto, CA.
Lab Project Assistant Qualifications:
- 1 year of administrative/clerical experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills and have some past clerical experience.
- Basic computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications.
- Ability to follow through and complete assigned tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Shift:
- Flexible throughout the week for the 12-16 hours. The office/building is open Monday-Friday, between 8:00-4:30pm. The university will work out a schedule with the selected candidate.
