About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Freight Service Coordinator Supervisor to lead and support our team of dispatchers. Reporting to the Freight Service Manager, you will ensure seamless daily operations by prioritizing efficiency, accuracy, and on-time performance. This is an in-person role based at our Oakland office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and support dispatchers to ensure the team meets service expectations.
• Oversee and monitor daily dispatch activities to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate data entry in the transportation management system (Trinium).
• Track container availability and driver activity in real time to ensure operational efficiency.
• Generate and maintain reports, including weekly delivery projections and driver pay reports.
• Address operational challenges and implement effective solutions to maintain service levels.
• Collaborate with team members and managers to streamline processes and improve performance.
• Organize and lead monthly team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: 2-3 years in transportation, logistics, or related fields.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with container or port/LTL logistics is a major advantage.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one TMS (Transportation Management System); Trinium experience preferred.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and accuracy in data entry.
• Problem Solving: Proven ability to make decisions, solve problems, and address challenges effectively.
• Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with Excel, Outlook, and general computer systems.
• Trucking Knowledge: Understanding of trucking terminology and industry practices.
