Commercial / Industrial Painting Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Commercial / Industrial Painting Estimator to join our growing team in West Covina, CA. This full-time position offers year-round employment, professional development opportunities, and participation in employee ownership programs.

The ideal candidate has strong experience estimating commercial and industrial painting projects, performing blueprint takeoffs, and developing competitive bid proposals. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial painting projects, including labor, materials, production rates, and scheduling
• Perform blueprint takeoffs and review drawings, specifications, and scope documents
• Apply knowledge of surface preparation methods, coatings, finishes, and application techniques
• Develop complete bid packages, proposals, and scope clarifications
• Attend job walks and site visits to assess project conditions and gather data
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, vendors, and field teams to validate project scope and resolve questions
• Ensure estimates comply with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices
• Support process improvements and assist in mentoring junior estimators as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience estimating commercial or industrial painting projects
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, painting takeoffs, and bid preparation
• Strong understanding of surface preparation, coating systems, labor productivity, and material pricing
• Valid California driver’s license
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify eligible)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Team-oriented mindset with collaborative work style
