TITLE: Nursery/Hydroponics Greenhouse Coordinator

SALRAY RANGE: $27.00 / hour

DEPARTMENT: Achievement House North

LOCATION: San Luis Obispo

SCHEUDLE: Full Time, Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm

BONUS : $250 Sign on Bonus (paid at 90 and 180 days)

Join Achievement House, Inc.'s team as a Nursery Program Coordinator, where you are responsible for the daily growing operations decision making for plants, materials and environment of the nursery/hydroponics greenhouse, including Nursery/ Hydro Job Coaches. Required Qualifications

• Must have some experience in the areas of hydroponics, hydroponic growing systems, etc.
• Must have own vehicle and maintain a current California driver’s license.
• Must provide on-going proof of current state required auto insurance.
• Must clear fingerprints through the California Department of Justice and the FBI.
• Degree in Ag or Horticultural science or related field preferred.
• The ability to successfully complete First Aid / CPR training is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop/document high quality standards for consistently growing crops.
• Constant care and monitoring of range for optimum crop quality, climate, and placement
• Responsible for all aspects of growing, including watering, fertilizing, spraying, Nutrient Film Technique fertilized water, nutrient levels and testing water for proper PH levels.
• Regulate Nutrient Film Technique plant feeding systems. Set program seasonal climate control computers.
• Monitor crops and greenhouse environments daily to evaluate, identify possible problems, and improvements to determine a solution.
• Prepare and oversee coordination of propagating, growing and harvesting schedules.
•  Perform test to identify, track, and control soil, water, insects, and disease tests regularly.
• Assist in the development and implementation of specific fertilization programs.
• Obtain, Interpret and implement horticulture consultant’s recommendations, as needed.
• Work directly with administrative staff and attend regular communication meetings to determine types and quantities of vegetables, herbs and flowers to be grown, based on budgets, projected sales volumes, market demand and/or executive directives.
• Coordinate crop delivery schedules and deliveries.
• Organize and attend weekly Farmers Markets.
• Assist with selling nursery products to local business.
