Direct Counsel is representing a plaintiff-side litigation firm seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join its growing team in Los Angeles, Ca
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of personal injury litigation experience and a proven track record of successfully advocating for clients in high-value cases. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex matters from inception through trial, with strong support and resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Present theories of liability and summarize client injuries, medical treatment, and impact on quality of life
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and meet-and-confer letters
- Take and defend depositions, including expert depositions
- Handle court appearances, mediations, settlement negotiations, trial preparation, and trial
- Review and analyze medical records, surgical reports, and billing statements
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve favorable case outcomes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of personal injury litigation experience preferred
- Strong trial preparation and negotiation skills
- Exceptional legal writing and communication skills
- Ability to manage complex caseloads independently and efficiently
