Tool Crib Attendant

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Tool Crib Attendant to oversee the distribution, tracking, and maintenance of tools and safety gear used in both field and fabrication operations. This hands-on position is critical to supporting day-to-day construction and manufacturing workflows, ensuring teams have safe, functional, and properly maintained equipment at all times. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily check-in/check-out of tools for field and shop personnel Inspect and tag all tools and equipment before issuance Diagnose and repair electric tools (grinders, drills, welding leads, etc.) Conduct and document monthly tool audits at multiple job sites Track usage of consumables and PPE, including welding gear and fall protection Partner with Maintenance and Safety teams to assess and execute repair or replacement of tools Maintain accurate inventory and ERP records; assist with small parts and safety supply reorders Keep storage areas clean, organized, stocked, and audit-ready Operate forklifts or overhead cranes as needed (certification required) Qualifications: MUST HAVE experience repairing electric/powered tools (grinders, welding cords, drills) Minimum 3 years’ experience in a tool crib or similar role in an industrial or construction setting Proven ability to manage inventories of 1,000+ items using ERP systems Familiarity with PPE, OSHA standards, and safety compliance (especially fall protection) Forklift and/or crane certification preferred Comfortable working around structural steel, heavy machinery, and fabrication environments English proficiency for documentation, labeling, and repair logs What We Offer: Competitive Pay: $25.00 – $27.00/hour Weekly pay Comprehensive health insurance Long-term stability and growth potential Supportive, team-oriented workplace
