About Us
The company is the first agentic AI platform for enterprise accounting, purpose built to deliver SOX compliant, real time close. Our founders have experience coming from both sides of the problem: from overseeing the finance org at Rubrik, to building month-end close systems at Twitter and Netflix. We have raised the largest seed in history in the accounting space from Kleiner Perkins & Audacious Ventures and are backed by finance leaders at companies such as Rippling, OpenAI, and UI Path.
Role Overview
We are looking for an exceptional Recruiter to help build the engineering organization from the ground up. In this role, you will work closely with our founders and engineering leadership to attract, engage, and close world-class technical talent. You will serve as the first point of contact for candidates, run a high-velocity top-of-funnel process, and ensure every candidate has a thoughtful, high-signal experience.
This role is deeply collaborative and highly operational. You'll partner daily with Engineering, Product, and Operations to understand hiring needs, shape role definitions, calibrate on candidate profiles, and manage the end-to-end recruiting funnel. You will define how the company shows up to candidates, setting the tone for the talent bar and culture as we scale.
Success in this role will be defined by quality, velocity, and candidate experience—building a predictable, repeatable recruiting engine that consistently delivers top-tier engineering talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Recruiting: Own the entire recruiting process for engineering roles—sourcing, outreach, initial screens, interview scheduling, debrief coordination, and closing.
- Top-of-Funnel Leadership: Build strong pipelines of senior and staff-level engineering candidates using outbound sourcing, networks, and creative talent strategies.
- Candidate Experience: Serve as the face of the company for candidates. Deliver a white-glove experience that reflects our bar for excellence and helps top talent feel deeply engaged with the mission.
- Partner With Engineering: Work closely with hiring managers to define role requirements, calibrate on profiles, and adapt sourcing strategies based on real-time signal from the market.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain tight control of timelines, scheduling, interviewer coordination, and funnel metrics—ensuring an efficient process without sacrificing quality.
- Process Design: Develop repeatable hiring frameworks, scorecards, interview loops, and pipeline management workflows that will scale with the company.
- Talent Market Intelligence: Provide insights into candidate trends, compensation benchmarks, and sourcing strategies to inform hiring plans and organizational design.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in technical recruiting, ideally at high-growth technology companies (e.g., Stripe, Brex, Ramp, OpenAI, Figma, Rippling, etc.).
- Proven ability to attract and close senior engineering talent in competitive markets.
- Experience running high-throughput pipelines while maintaining high-touch candidate engagement.
- Strong sourcing fundamentals across LinkedIn, GitHub, referrals, and outbound techniques.
- Ability to partner with senior engineering and product leaders to define search criteria and evaluate candidate quality.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and project-management skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple roles, priorities, and stakeholders.
- Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous, high-ownership environments.
- Excitement about helping build a world-class engineering team at an AI-first startup.
- In-person in San Mateo, 5 days a week.
