Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager (Entertainment Company) (CA/YM)

An entertainment company is seeking a Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager to join their team in Irvine, CA. This position is responsible for preparing journal entries, analyzing financial information, and other various daily operations to ensure accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, 6 years of accounting experience, understanding of GAAP accounting principles, some supervisory experience, and advanced Excel skills are required. This is a full-time, in-person, exempt position with excellent benefits and 401k. ***CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred but not required.***

Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager Duties: -Prepare journal entries.-Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts.-Assist with financial statement analysis, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.-Prepare quarterly financial reports for the Parent Company.-Assist in managing the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable.-Assist with identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.-Assist with performing research on new accounting regulations that may impact the company.-Assist with processing vendor invoices and prepare vendor payments.-Prepare supporting schedules for quarterly reviews and audits.-Support quarterly review and year-end audit process.-Support internal audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.-Supervise Accounting staff.-Other duties as assigned.

Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager Skills: -Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field-Must have 6 years of accounting experience-Must have understanding of GAAP accounting principles-Must have some supervisory experience-Must have advanced Excel skills-Proficient computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases
