About the Role

We are looking for experienced engineers across multiple specializations to help build and scale ChatGPT across various platforms, including web, desktop, and mobile. As part of this team, you will play a key role in designing and implementing advanced features, optimizing performance, and enhancing the user experience.

We are hiring for multiple engineering roles:

• Full Stack Engineers – Build scalable, high-performance applications across the frontend and backend.

• Native Engineers – Develop and optimize ChatGPT for macOS, iOS, and other native platforms.

• Chromium Engineers – Enhance and extend ChatGPT’s capabilities within Chromium-based browsers and web technologies.

In this role, you will:

• Partner closely with design, product, and research teams to build and refine new features for ChatGPT.

• Contribute to architecting and implementing end-to-end solutions that improve usability, scalability, and performance.

• Leverage industry best practices and modern frameworks to deliver exceptional user experiences.

• Work with a small, senior team of engineers to develop cutting-edge AI-powered applications .

You might thrive in this role if you:

• Have 6+ years of professional engineering experience (excluding internships).

• Have experience building technically complex, user-focused features—especially in Swift, C++, TypeScript, React, or Chromium-based technologies (depending on your area of specialization).

• Have a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences across web, mobile, and desktop.

• Thrive in ambiguity, communicate clearly and concisely, and are always eager to learn and share knowledge.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
