Field Research & Demo Specialist
- Operate the LaserWeeder to assess performance in diverse field conditions.
- Collect and analyze operational and agronomic data to measure weed control effectiveness, yield impact, and labor or chemical savings.
- Run LaserWeeder demos on customer farms to support sales opportunities.
- Confidently showcase machine capabilities through hands-on demonstrations.
- Communicate clearly with farmers and potential customers, adapting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Operate and present the LaserWeeder at trade shows, field days, and conferences.
- Engage with event attendees to communicate the benefits and applications of laser weeding.
- Ensure machine readiness and a professional presentation at all events.
- Deep curiosity about agricultural innovation and the LaserWeeder's impact on modern farming.
- High mechanical aptitude with hands-on problem-solving ability.
- Ability to operate tractors and agricultural equipment confidently and safely.
- Class A driver's license preferred (not required).
- Strong communication skills - able to connect with growers, researchers, sales teams, and event attendees.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work independently.
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science, Agricultural Engineering, Plant Sciences, Agribusiness, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 2+ years of experience working with agricultural machinery, precision agriculture, or field-based research.
- Comfort operating and maintaining complex agricultural equipment.
- Demonstrated experience collecting, interpreting, and presenting data from on-farm trials or equipment testing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Excel (or similar tools) for field performance tracking.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills for engaging with farmers, researchers, and industry professionals.
- Self-starter who thrives in independent, field-based work environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
