News & Global Affairs Content Intern
About the Role
We’re looking for a highly motivated News & Global Affairs Content Intern to help us create short-form “newsbites” that our team will record and publish on a frequent basis. This role is ideal for a student with a strong interest in journalism, global affairs, political science, international relations, economics, or media—and who thrives on moving fast when news breaks.
Your job: track current events in real time and turn them into clear, concise, and compelling copy—often same-day.

- Write concise, accurate, and engaging newsbite scripts (typically 30–90 seconds of spoken content)
- Summarize complex stories into clear, digestible talking points without losing nuance
- Flag important developments and suggest story ideas proactively
- Revise copy quickly based on editorial feedback (speed matters)
- Maintain a neutral, factual tone aligned with journalistic standards
How to Apply
- A brief cover note explaining your interest in current events and this role
- 1–3 writing samples (published articles, essays, or news summaries are ideal)
- Your availability and expected graduation date

- Strong research instincts and fact-checking discipline

- Knowledge of geopolitics, finance, or international policy
- Ability to work across time zones or outside standard business hours when news breaks
