ummary

The HVAC Technician II performs intermediate-level installation maintenance and repair of heating ventilation and air conditioning systems. This role requires solid technical knowledge the ability to work independently and experience with troubleshooting residential and/or commercial HVAC equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems including filters coils belts motors and controls.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in furnaces condensers heat pumps chillers rooftop units and ventilation systems.

• Install and commission HVAC equipment such as split systems mini-splits air handlers package units and thermostats.

• Interpret and work from blueprints wiring diagrams and technical manuals .

• Use diagnostic tools (multimeters gauges leak detectors) to identify issues and complete necessary repairs.

• Assist with refrigerant handling recovery charging and leak testing in compliance with EPA standards.

• Ensure all work follows safety regulations building codes and company procedures.

• Provide excellent customer service explain findings and recommend solutions to clients.

• Maintain accurate service records work orders and inventory of materials.

• Mentor entry-level technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school preferred.

• 24 years of HVAC experience (or equivalent Level II competency).

• Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

• Strong understanding of HVAC electrical and mechanical systems.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in confined or elevated spaces.
