Dental Front Desk Lead

:

Assist patients to effectively utilize dental services and perform a variety of general clerical duties. Handle the dental billing activities of the department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Performs all duties of a Dental/Optometric Receptionist
• Responsible for working with Billing department on reports and any discrepancies.
• Responsible for managing and overseeing providers' schedules.
• Responsible for ensuring billing is submitted in a timely manner
• Participates/ represents Front Office department in other meetings.
• Prepares agenda and facilitates for department meetings.
• Assist managers in project completion.
• Responsible for ensuring NEMS policies and procedures are being adhered to.
• In charge of keeping track and ordering office supplies.
• Acts as point of contact to diffuse customer service issues.
• Responsible for investigating and responding to patient complaints in timely manner
• Trains new staff.
• Oversees personnel schedules.
• Ensures that performance standards are being met and provides feedback to management on performance reviews
• Provides guidance and mentorship to the Front Office team.
• Responsible for ensuring patient portal response time is done according to policies
• Responsible for ensuring reports are monitored and reviewed within department. Any discrepancies are addressed.
• Participates in interviews for open positions.
• Performs other job duties as required by manager/supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum high school degree and at least 2 years of similar work experience.
• Prior training and experience in dental insurance billing is preferred.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and ability to read radiographs to facilitate insurance billing is highly preferred.
• Ability to handle computer data entry.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

LANGUAGE:

• Must be able to fluently speak, read and write English.
• Fluent in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin), Vietnamese, Spanish and other languages may be required depending on location.
• Fluency in other languages are an asset.

STATUS:

This is an FLSA non-exempt position.

This is not an OSHA high-risk position.
