Senior Staff Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Support the month-end close process and assist with general ledger tasks, along with handling ad hoc projects.
Manage the full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) process, including invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and vendor relations.
Lead the implementation and optimization of AP processes to enhance efficiency.
Oversee the company's software license management.
Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks, including invoicing and collections.
Help support contract negotiations and review financial terms to ensure alignment with business goals.
Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, financial reporting, and forecasting.
Collaborate across departments to address financial challenges and improve processes.
Participate in ad hoc projects as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in full-cycle AP and AR accounting functions.
Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUP and pivot tables, for financial analysis and reporting.
Experience in optimizing AP workflows and implementing new processes.
Familiarity with accounting software such as Peachtree, Sage 50, or QuickBooks is a plus.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to evolving financial needs.
Experience with contract negotiations is a bonus.
