Seasonal Retail Sales Clerk
:
DURING SERVICE-
- This position is for the Good Morning Supply Company Retail shop attached the the National Exchange Hotel and Lola Dining in downtown Nevada City, which is a specialty food store and natural wine shop.
- Must maintain professional appearance at all times, clean and well-groomed as per standard of the restaurant.
- Guide guests through all product specs and wine bottle program. Must be able to make thoughtful suggestions and recommendations to guests, as well as have a thorough understanding of the shop's general information.
- Handle all cash and charge transactions accurately.
- Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge. Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner. Responds to customers' questions.
- Must have a uniquely engaging understanding of food related products and how to use them in everyday life.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
