Under the general direction of the Business Services Officer, Manager II, the Supervisor II directs the activities of the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA), Business Services Office (BSO), Facilities & Operational Resources (FOR) Section.

Working Conditions
This position follows a hybrid schedule, with four days per week of required in office work.
Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview. However, they must reside in the State of California once they are hired and start working.
Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee's monthly salary in exchange for leave credits. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and will accrue hours of PLP 2025 on the first day of each pay period as outlined on "Section 2113 - Personal Leave Program (PLP)" of the CalHR Manual. The salary range(s) included on this job posting do not reflect the reduction in pay.
Special Requirements
Conflict of Interest: This position is subject to Title 16, section 3830 of the California Code of Regulations, the Department of Consumer Affairs' Conflict of Interest Regulations. The incumbent is required to submit a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700) within 30 days of assuming office, annually by April 1, and within 30 days of leaving office.

This position often acts independently and requires a high level of discretion, as very sensitive, political, and visible business services related matters are frequently subject to consultation, review, and/or recommendation. The incumbent must possess good communication skills, exhibit good judgment in decision making, exercise creativity and flexibility in problem identification and resolution, manage time and resources effectively, and be responsive to DCA management and client needs. Knowledge of the state contracting and purchasing processes, experience working in Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal), Public Contract Code, and both the State Administrative Manual and State Contracting Manual is necessary to perform the duties of this position satisfactorily.
