Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, professional, and customer-focused Venue Waiter/Waitress to provide high-quality food and beverage service during events and functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a seamless and enjoyable guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and prepare venue spaces for service, including table arrangements, cutlery, linens, and decorations.

• Greet and assist guests in a courteous and professional manner.

• Take food and beverage orders (if applicable) and serve dishes and drinks efficiently.

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the event area throughout the function.

• Ensure timely clearing of plates, glassware, and waste during and after service.

• Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.

• Work closely with kitchen, bar, and event staff to coordinate smooth service.

• Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns, escalating to supervisors if needed.

• Assist with post-event breakdown, cleaning, and resetting as required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in hospitality or events preferred but not essential.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and during busy service periods.

• Well-groomed and presentable at all times.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.

• Basic food and beverage knowledge (e.g., menu items, wine service) is a plus.

• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift/carry trays and equipment.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced event and hospitality setting.

• May involve indoor and outdoor work depending on the venue and event.
