Accounts Payable Specialist

Joseph J. Albanese, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will primarily be responsible for data entry and processing vendor invoices. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Input invoices, subcontracts, and purchase orders into our accounting software.


• Review and reconcile vendor statements.


• Ensure payments are timely and accurate, and comply with internal controls, policies, and procedures.


• Resolve past due accounts.


• Provide internal and external customer service and support.


• File, scan, and organize documents.

NOTE: These duties listed are meant to describe the general scope of the work. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs within the organization.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY:

• 4+ years of accounts payable experience.


• Minimum of a high school degree or equivalent.


• Viewpoint Software experience is a plus.


• Strong attention to detail.


• Excellent organizational and communication skills.


• Team player who can work independently and handle a variety of responsibilities.


• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple assignments.

OTHER:

• Ability to work overtime on an as-needed basis.


• General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, and bending.


• Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
