Software Engineer - SystemOS

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to help architect and develop our next-generation Systems Engineering platform. This role focuses on building advanced, scalable applications and frameworks that elevate our approach to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Requirements Management, digital threads, and enterprise integrations.
As a critical member of our team, you'll significantly influence how our engineers define, model, manage, and deliver complex system solutions at scale. Your work will drive internal efficiency, enhance product quality, and set the standard for digital engineering practices across our organization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Architect and develop elegant, scalable software solutions tailored to advanced Systems Engineering needs (Requirements Management, MBSE, Digital Engineering).


• Enhance engineering productivity by developing and integrating tools that simplify complex system modeling tasks and automate critical processes.


• Lead technical efforts in a dynamic, mini-startup environment focused on rapidly evolving our internal systems engineering capabilities.


• Partner closely with stakeholders to understand detailed technical requirements and transform them into high-quality software implementations.


• Innovate continuously to align our internal platforms with industry best practices in digital engineering.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally working with complex applications or internal tooling environments.


• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.


• Proven track record developing large-scale, enterprise-level applications with stringent availability and scalability requirements.


• Proficiency with modern web technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and frameworks like Remix or NextJS.


• Demonstrable experience with or exposure to systems engineering methodologies, particularly Requirements Management tools and/or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).


• Ability to translate complex systems engineering requirements and workflows into high-quality, user-friendly software solutions.


• U.S. Person status required due to access to export-controlled data.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Direct experience with Systems Engineering platforms (e.g., Cameo, IBM DOORS, Jama Software, Siemens Polarion) and familiarity with related standards (SysML, UML, digital threads, etc.).


• Background in rapidly scaling environments with proven ability to balance strategic vision with tactical implementation.


• Experience developing software solutions in AWS cloud environments.


• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.

US Salary Range

$138,000 - $207,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
