Senior Product Manager, Creator Services

These foundational services power millions of creative Roblox experiences for storage, memory, communications, teleportation and more.

Stepping into the Senior Product Manager role in the Creator organization, you will drive the vision for the service platform that amasses an ecosystem of first-party and third-party options, joining the dots between the powerful infrastructure and products we are building as a company. You’ll lead the strategy and creation of a roadmap for a range of foundational services to help drive our goal of creation of anything, anywhere, by anyone. You’ll work with talented engineers, designers, analysts and cross-functional groups to bring this vision to life.

You will:

• Help Roblox achieve a vision of a cloud platform delivering foundational services for co-experience creation from storage , communications , telemetry and future service use cases.


• Lead a strategy and roadmap for Roblox’s Open Cloud API that enables developers and 3rd parties to extend Roblox in new and interesting ways using our foundational services, including leveraging this API to enable AI agentic building.


• Building out a Roblox Cloud that both internal product teams and community creators can rely on to make next generation games and immersive experiences.


• Taking the initiative to be transparent with creators about our service quality SLAs, building confidence in their durability.


• Identifying the right levels of abstraction to truly hit developer needs - often a raw infrastructure product alone is less valuable than with an accompanying higher level API


• Practice High-Craft of Product Management:




• Gain understanding of user needs and industry trends through research, practical experience and deep engagement with top creators on Robox


• Write detailed product specifications that can be referred by team members for design and implementation.


• Run the development of projects from ideation, planning, to launch by working with engineering partners, UX designers, marketing.


• Help align vision, roadmap, and needs across executives, engineers, designers, and product team members.


• Establish the Indicators for your products and improve the metrics through both incremental and revolutionary improvements.


• You will report to the Senior Director of Product, Creator Content & Services and grow your career with a rocket ship company

You have:

Basic Qualifications:

• A degree in a highly technical field like computer science, software engineering, or similar experience.


• Product experience shipping, updating and maintaining cloud platform products.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of product management experience in developer or multi-sided platforms, emphasizing cloud platform infrastructure, compute and scale with exposure to IaaS, PaaS and/or SaaS models.


• Experience in cloud-driven game development facing platforms and ecosystems, with a passion for intuitive and helpful developer tools and APIs.


• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field.


• Exposure to cloud platform business models, experience understanding cost-side implications of product design, and revenue generation models (e.g. freemium monetization models).

You are:

• Technical Background: A Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Engineering is highly preferred, as they must engage deeply with engineering partners on technical system design and rate-limiting logic.


• "API-First": Someone who has not just managed a backend, but has built the Open Cloud or public-facing API ecosystems that allow third parties to extend a platform.


• Distributed Systems Expertise: A PM who understands the trade-offs of low-latency state management, memory optimization, and global data consistency—critical for 3D immersive environments.


• Data-Literate: Beyond basic SQL, they should be able to define SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and "Indicators" that build developer trust in a cloud’s durability.


• Technical background - we are looking for someone who can engage with XFN partners in eng across other teams, as well as creators.


• Passion for Games: The perfect candidate will understand games as an enthusiast at least, and be able to empathize with how the tech above can enable game creation.

Quick litmus tests…

• Can they write a basic SQL query as a part of their normal day-to-day work?


• Can they explain how some technical system works (the data flow, the relationship between sub-systems etc)?


• Can they explain the basics of cookies, authentication, etc?


• Do they understand how cloud systems protect resources? why rate limits would exist and how we would decide their values?


• Have they built a side-project (toy/side are okay) using some developer web API and/or Cloud services?
