Responsibilities
- Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Conduct bedside evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans; implement therapy and monitor progress.
- Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in the patient’s medical record per regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to support patient goals.
- Educate patients and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques; participate in discharge planning and care coordination as appropriate.

Requirements
- Adherence to state and federal regulatory license, certification, and accrediting requirements related to speech-language pathology (per Job Notes)
- Ability to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services for communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in an acute care setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Eligibility to work in the United States and willingness to travel for assignments
