About the Opportunity

As part of the Farmers team, you'll help clients protect what matters most while learning the business side of insurance from an experienced District Manager.

You'll receive guidance, mentorship, and access to Farmers established training resources designed to help you thrive in sales and leadership.

This opportunity supports multiple agencies within the district and includes pathways for both income-focused sales roles and long-term leadership development .

Sales Representative (Producer) Path
Ideal for individuals ready to grow their income through insurance sales.

Build and manage your own book of business
Engage new and existing clients through calls, referrals, and networking
Offer tailored insurance solutions across auto, home, and personal lines
Earn hourly pay plus uncapped commission

Protégé Program Path
Perfect for those seeking long-term leadership growth.

Work under a District Manager while developing your sales and leadership skills
Learn agency operations and business fundamentals
Receive step-by-step guidance toward managing or launching your own agency
Transition into leadership opportunities over time

Agency Ownership Path
For entrepreneurial candidates interested in operating their own business.

Launch and operate your own Farmers agency
Build and lead your own team
Manage sales, operations, and long-term business growth
Operate as a 1099 independent contractor

Candidates pursuing the Agency Owner path must have approximately $100,000 in liquid capital . Licensing support is available.

Who You Are

Licensed in Property & Casualty (P&C) and/or Life & Health (L&H) in California
Newly licensed or in-progress candidates encouraged to apply

Compensation & Benefits

Producer / Protégé:
$20+ per hour plus 5–10% commission per policy
Uncapped commission structure
Estimated earnings: $46,000 – $72,000 annually

Agency Owner:
Commission-based income
Long-term earning potential based on business performance

Clear pathway into leadership and agency ownership

Benefits may vary by agency. Agency owners receive subsidized benefits after launch.

Schedule

Full time
Monday through Friday
Standard business hours

Agency owners operate with flexible schedules as independent contractors

All interviews are conducted by phone
