Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Manager/Analyst (San Francisco)

Ouster, Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our Finance team in San Francisco. As a newly public and rapidly growing company, we need an analyst who can help build processes, collaborate with management and stakeholders, and provide insightful analyses on business data.

Responsibilities:

• Support budgeting and forecasting for S&M, R&D, Operations, and G&A departments.
• Conduct monthly budget vs. actual analysis, providing insights on variances and trends.
• Collaborate with department heads to monitor spending, headcount, and project costs.
• Work with the accounting team during month-end close for proper coding and accruals.
• Prepare financial presentations and reports for internal and executive review.
• Maintain and improve financial models and templates in Google Sheets or Excel.
• Incorporate routine risk and opportunity insights from business partners into financial models.
• Support audit requests and internal controls.
• Participate in ad hoc analyses and special projects.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of relevant industry experience (e.g., FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, accounting).
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• Proficiency in Excel required; experience in Google Sheets preferred.
• Experience with FP&A software such as Planful or Adaptive.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Experience handling large data sets and performing data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with high initiative and work ethic.
• Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite is advantageous.

The salary range for this role is $65,000 to $115,000, dependent on skills, experience, location, and qualifications. The role may also include equity and benefits. We encourage candidates who do not meet all requirements to apply, as we value diverse backgrounds.
