Winery Assistant - Harvest 2026
Job Description:
Grapewagon Custom Crush / Wines By James MacPhail is a small, family-owned, state of the art winery located just 2 miles outside the town of Healdsburg, CA. Our clients are a few of the top ultra-premium and premium producers in CA (The Calling, Sangiacomo Family Wines, MacPhail Family Wines, Tongue Dancer Wines, Calafia, Palmeri...to name a few). Among our in-house wine brands, over 12 different varietals have been hand-crafted (in the true sense of the word) during harvest. Quality is paramount.
We are seeking an ideal candidate to join us from mid-August through November 1st, exact start and end date TBD by Mother Nature. This is a unique and rare opportunity for anyone wanting to learn the intricacies of ultra-premium winemaking, as you will work right along side each winemaker. Because we are small and 100% hands-on, this position will be intimately involved with every aspect of production, all the way through completion of Harvest 2026. Applicants must have previous winery / harvest experience, have a strong work ethic, are excited to learn and want to be directly responsible for helping to produce some of California's best wines. Candidate must be reliable, meticulous (with a keen attention to detail), and have a positive and upbeat attitude. Because most of all, we love what we do, and have fun doing it! Candidate will work well within a small 4-person team, and must be willing to jump in and work flexible harvest hours such as early mornings, evenings and weekends.
