Overview

The Inventory Control Coordinator provides internal departments and external partners with timely and accurate inventory information and support. Monitors product movement, maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy. Facilitates efficient order fulfillment, handling highly detailed work in an ever changing, high-pressure environment.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (schedule subject to change pending evolving business needs; the ability to work weekends as well as participate in an on-call rotation is required).

Accountabilities

Receives, inputs, maintains and reconciles manual or computerized inventory control records in accordance with company standards, policies and procedures.

Monitors the receipt, rotation, and movement of inventory including work order activities. Advises staff of incoming shipments and liaises with the operations and quality control function to confirm product quantity, item accuracy and condition.

Reconciles inventory and research any discrepancies daily for any needed adjustments.

Responds to requests from internal/external contact for support requests. Develops and produces detailed and accurate reports in accordance with department and system standards.

Monitors inventory at grower/packing house and cold storage locations. Coordinates with other departments to ensure all transactions are processed before account sales are due.

Works with Growers, Category Management, Packaging and Marketing Department on setting up new item codes according to inventory standards for assigned deals and fruit purchases.

Researches and resolves related problems as they arise in a timely manner. Liaises with customers and staff to collect and assess relevant information. Escalates problems to supervisor.

Assists internal/external contacts regarding resolving Supply Chain support calls.

Required Knowledge & Abilities

Knowledge of the concepts, methods, standards, and practices of inventory control within the produce industry is an asset.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (including Outlook, Word, Excel); ability to perform more intermediate functions on Microsoft Excel (i.e., including pivot tables, VLOOKUP) preferred.

Proven ability to work accurately with highly detailed data and information, identifying discrepancies while ensuring data integrity at all times.

Self-motivated with high standards and attention to detail; ability to set priorities and work accurately within tight deadlines in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Strong interpersonal, communication (written & verbal) and customer service skills; English/Spanish bilingual considered an asset.

Proven ability to work collaboratively with various departments, foster teamwork, and build effective working relationships both inside and outside the organization.

Strong organization and time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple demands in a timely manner without compromising the quality or accuracy of work.

A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement, optimizing workflow efficiency, and achieving team objectives within the organization.

Positive and engaging attitude, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and fun working environment.

Required Qualifications

Degree, diploma in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, operations management, or a related discipline preferred.

Minimum, 1 – 2 years of relevant experience in related field preferred.
