We are seeking a talented Java Backend Developer to join our global Cash Management Technology team. In this role, you will focus on developing real-time cash and position management applications that are vital for supporting front-office trading, portfolio risk management, and middle office operations. You will collaborate closely with the cash desk to gather business requirements and devise both tactical and strategic solutions to enhance current workflows. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement top-tier microservice architecture applications. Collaborate with various business partners, including the front office, to deliver products from inception to completion. Approach problem-solving with a coding mindset while maintaining a proactive and collaborative attitude. Take responsibility for driving initiatives to meet business objectives. Foster effective communication and teamwork in agile development environments. Requirements: Proven experience in designing and implementing microservice architecture applications. Strong motivation to work with diverse business partners to deliver comprehensive solutions. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, collaborative approach. Responsible and driven to achieve business goals. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in agile development settings. Technical Qualifications: BS/MS degree in a STEM or Computer Science-related field. Demonstrated experience with Java server-side technologies, focusing on writing maintainable and readable code using Test-Driven Development (TDD). Keen attention to detail to ensure the best possible user experience. Solid understanding of data structures, design patterns, and algorithms. Familiarity with the full development lifecycle, from analysis to initial production support. Preferred Skills: Experience with React or Angular is a plus. Familiarity with Git, GitLab, Jira, and Unix/Linux environments. Knowledge of Python is a plus. Experience in the financial sector is advantageous. PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
