Full-Time Private Cook/Family Assistant - Rancho Santa Fe, CA

A private household in Rancho Santa Fe is seeking an experienced and health-focused Cook to provide high-quality, organic meals in a semi-formal household environment .

The family prioritizes 100% organic ingredients , including top-quality meats and fish, and prefers a clean, simple cooking style without heavy sauces. This role requires a chef who can consistently deliver fresh, nutritious, and flavorful meals while maintaining high standards in both food preparation and kitchen management.

This is a flexible, full-time position (approximately 40 hours per week) with the option to live on-site (separate living quarters provided) or work as a live-out professional.

️ Culinary Responsibilities

• Prepare daily meals in-home using 100% organic, high-quality ingredients

• Follow a clean, simple cooking style (no heavy sauces)

• Create meals that align with gluten-free and lactose-free dietary preferences

• Ensure meals are nutritious, balanced, and thoughtfully prepared

• Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation

  Kitchen & Household Responsibilities

  • Handle grocery shopping and sourcing of premium organic ingredients

  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and pantry

  • Clean up after meal preparation

  • Assist with driving and errands as needed

  • Provide support to the household when needed , including light assistance related to family/pets

  • Assist with table service and occasional gatherings or events

  • Help with dog to include overnights when homeowners are away.

  • Run errands as needed

  • Meet vendors as needed

  • Be the go-to person and willing to wear many hats!

The ideal candidate is a polished and health-conscious chef who is comfortable working in a private home and managing kitchen operations independently.

Qualifications include:

• Prior experience as a cook in a private household

• Strong background in organic, clean, and health-focused cooking

• Experience preparing gluten-free and lactose-free meals

• Ability to execute simple, high-quality dishes with excellent ingredients

• Comfortable sourcing premium ingredients and managing kitchen inventory

• Willingness to assist with errands, light household support, and events

• Professional, discreet, and detail-oriented

• Flexible and adaptable with scheduling

• Must pass an advanced third-party background check (paid by client)
