Speech-Language Pathologist Job Details

• Location: San Jose, CA 95128 (California SLP jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel SLP position
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital
• Start Date: July 28, 2025
• End Date: October 27, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 6 - 8 hour shifts (up to 40 hours per week)
• On-Call: No on-call required

Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2000 - $2050

SLP Job Requirements

• Active and valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in California
• Certification in Rehabilitation Therapy
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a hospital SLP or in a similar healthcare setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Speech-Language Pathologist Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in hospital patients
• Develop and implement individualized SLP treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with hospital policies
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies and rehabilitation goals
