Quality Assurance Technician/Production Worker
A reputable food manufacturing company in the Yuba City area is hiring immediately for an experienced quality assurance technician.
J ob Duties Include
- Responsible for managing HACCP, GMPs, and safety/regulatory requirements
- Conduct metal detector checks following HACCP and/or Food Safety Plans
- Conduct pre-operational and/or operational swabbing
- Conduct all Critical Control Point/Preventive Control Point critical limit checks as per the HACCP
- Conduct temperature checks and documentation
- Audit all finished product packaging lot code accuracy, make corrections when needed
- Conduct thermometer calibration as directed by quality assurance supervisor
- Place product on hold as per HACCP and/or Food Safety Plans when a deviation occurs and alert plant management accordingly
- Ensure all employees are always following GMPs
- Conduct scale and balance checks daily
- Report any food safety and quality issues to Quality Assurance supervisor and/or QA manager
- Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring
- Conduct weight checks and properly document
- Perform quality control checks at the production line (process control)
- Seal product trays and bags while checking products for any defects
- Adjust and level product at machines
- Repetitive scooping with 2-5 lbs. metal scoopers and weighing trays
- Fill hoppers and keep machines full at all times when stationed at hoppers
Job Requirements include
- Prior work experience in a quality control or assurance position
- Strong critical thinking & problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication skills – both written & verbal
- Past experience in food or manufacturing industries are preferred
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Shift: 2:30pm-11:00pm with overtime as needed
