Design Specialist II
Salary Range: $60,778.00 (Min.) - $75,950.00 (Mid.) - $91,166.00 (Max.)
Established in 1997, L.A. Care Health Plan is an independent public agency created by the state of California to provide health coverage to low-income Los Angeles County residents. Job Summary
The Design Specialist II is responsible for managing and executing the creative development of projects from concept to completion. This includes translating marketing concepts into creative strategies and supporting the Marketing team in the production of brand identity programs, promotional programs and marketing collateral.
Duties
Plan, strategize and implement brand function standards and communication with Design and Creative Services Manager and Senior Marketing Manager, to effectively set the brand tone for major projects. Provide staff with direction and guidance on LAC branding standards and use of branding elements with corporate templates and tools.
Serve high level stakeholders in a advisory capacity, using past experiences, design best practices and knowledge in graphic production to influence decisions for the betterment of the project.
Traffic and manage file archives between internal staff and external parities via electronic platforms such as FTP with a minimal degree of technical complications.
Implement and maintain the design aspects of assigned project functions.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Required
Associate's Degree In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.Education Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Related FieldExperience
Required: At least 0-2 years of experience in developing, and ensuring consistency of materials and adherence to organizational policy and branding guidelines; desktop publishing experience with the most current version of Adobe Creative Suite.
Preferred: Health care and/or health plan environment experience.
Skills
Required: High proficiency with InDesign; and basic HTML, CSS, PHP, jQuery, JavaScript and Drupel. Proficiency with Apple Operating Systems.
Have an understanding of Pre-Press functions, preparing files for pre-press and must demonstrate experienced ability to design for professional output; just as for web.
Individual must also be comfortable and must have experience designing objectively in accordance to corporate standards, with creative direct from the Senior Graphic Designer.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, project management and written/verbal communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail and accuracy while working independently or as part of a team.
Proven ability to handle high-volume workload and multi-tasking projects.
Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
Requires strong coordination skills
