Licensed Speech Therapist
High Hopes is looking for a full-time/part-time Licensed Speech Pathologist to join our progressive, innovative, fast-paced work environment to meet the needs of our brain-injured students and families.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Qualifications:
- Licensed SLP in the state of California.
- PhD or Master's Degree with a certificate of clinical competency.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience.
- Must be able to work with brain-injured individuals.
Job Description:
- Evaluate and treat patients with a variety of cognition and communication disorders, including dysarthria, aphasia, and fluency.
- Treat patients in small groups, classrooms, and individually.
- Collaborate with other disciplines and instruct instructional aides on individual patients' goals/needs.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and scheduled ISP meetings with patients and families.
High Hopes is a local, nationally recognized brain injury rehab program dedicated to helping the brain injured regain abilities thought lost forever. We are the only one of its kind in the country. We provide a full service, day treatment program designed to obtain results. The High Hopes program uses a unique method of rehabilitation, which has been developed over many years.The goal of our program is to help each brain-injured person, no matter the severity of their accident, gain back as much independence as possible. High Hopes has helped hundreds of brain injured adults recover abilities that were thought unattainable. We do not give up on anyone, but rather find solutions to help each person.
