Occupational Therapist Job Details

• Job Title: Locum Tenens Occupational Therapist – Inpatient Rehabilitation
• Location: Sacramento, CA 95834 (California OT jobs)
• Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel contract)
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF)
• Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 8-hour day shifts
• Guaranteed Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250 - $2310
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 8/27/2025 – End: 11/26/2025)
• Patient Caseload: 4-5 patients per day, 6 hours of treatment time daily
• Weekend Hours: Open
• Call Requirements: None
• Electronic Health Record: Cerner
• Parking: Free, adjacent to the building

Occupational Therapist Qualifications

• Active California Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in acute rehab or acute care settings
• Preferred experience with stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury patients
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential for healthcare jobs

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver intensive, patient-centered rehabilitation therapy tailored to individual needs
• Evaluate and treat patients recovering from neurological, orthopedic, and traumatic injuries
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to maximize patient outcomes
• Document patient progress and treatment plans using Cerner EHR
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families
