Job Summary:

Disney's Direct to Consumer team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company's best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere. The Disney+ Programming team is responsible for leading content planning, scheduling, on-service merchandising, slate management, and programming insights that contribute to a cohesive strategic content approach for the service.

Job Summary:

The Content Planning Manager will support the day-to-day tracking of Disney+ slate updates and coordinate with multiple teams across the planning lifecycle, including Finance, Operations, Studios, Networks, and international Programming teams, to ensure alignment and adherence to process. The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter with a meticulous attention to detail and collaborative mindset. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Content Planning.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Execute and manage day-to-day process for tracking slate updates within the end-to-end content planning lifecycle, coordinating with key stakeholders (including executives) throughout the process

  • Support Sr. Manager with ad hoc special projects tied to function

  • Develop summaries, presentations, and status reports that will be distributed to key stakeholders and executives

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

  • Experience in fields related to content strategy, slate management, content curation, and project management, ideally in digital media and entertainment.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong diplomatic mindset and proven ability to work well in a team environment and across a matrixed organization.

  • Manage multiple demands and competing priorities effectively for self and others.

  • Strong emotional intelligence and collaborative spirit.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technology and constantly evolving organizations, and to thrive in an extremely fast-paced and high-pressure working environment.

  • Passion for The Walt Disney Company segments, brands and franchises.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years' experience in digital media.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • SVOD or Linear TV experience
The hiring range for this position in CA is $84,500.00 to $113,300.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
