- Maintain product quality and compliance across all categories, with responsibility for adherence to state and federal regulations, including DCC, FDA (for edibles), cGMP, and ISO standards.
- Partner with QA/QC to implement corrective actions and preventative systems, and to oversee in-process inspections including foreign matter checks, weight verification, and final visual inspections.
- Apply continuous improvement principles including Lean Manufacturing and 5S to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance workflow across the facility.
- Monitor and report on key production metrics such as yield, OEE, throughput, and downtime; identify trends and lead process changes to improve performance.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and collaborate with engineering and facilities teams to ensure mechanical reliability and minimize operational disruptions.
- Coordinate closely with inventory and procurement teams to ensure materials are in place, specifications are met, and inventory is well managed to prevent overstock or shortages.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation including batch records, production logs, and regulatory compliance paperwork, and lead readiness for state, federal, and third-party inspections.
- Support cross-functional alignment by working closely with R&D on new product scale-up and commercialization, and with Sales, Fulfillment, and Supply Chain to synchronize production with demand.
- Contribute to strategic planning conversations around capacity expansion, automation, and capital investment; assist in labor, equipment, and material budgeting.
