Job Type: Full-time; Non-exempt

Work Hours: Performs a forty-hour workweek; Monday- Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm. Assigned days and/or shifts can be changed according to staffing needs. Must be available to work evenings, holidays, and weekends and overtime as required or assigned.

Work Setting: In-person.

Location: Azusa, CA.

Travel: Occasionally required to travel by personal auto or air to meeting sites and other locations.

Summary of Functions:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for all billing, collecting, and accounting of accounts receivable. Other duties include assisting Accountants when needed. May also assume other administrative responsibilities in the Finance Department as needed.

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Prepare invoices for all organ, tissue and eye bank activity, as well as other miscellaneous invoices.
2. Record and apply payments to customer invoices timely and accurately.
3. Review requests for credits, determine eligibility and create credit memos timely and accurately.
4. Respond to customer and accounts receivable calls and emails timely.
5. Review account receivable aging reports at least weekly and follow-up with external and internal customers regarding overdue balances and accounts receivable issues timely to ensure our aging remains within our set goals.
6. Prepare monthly account receivable allowance analysis and calculation in accordance with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition.
7. Conduct account research and perform account receivable related analyses as needed.
8. Perform monthly account receivable and allowance reconciliations as it relates to the monthly and year end close.
9. Maintain accounts receivable and customer records.
10. Review contracts to ensure compliance with all terms.
10. Attend scheduled meetings.
11. Assist Accounting Manager in preparation of monthly financial statements.
12. Assist in year-end independent audit as needed.
13. Review and update internal documented procedures as necessary

Secondary Job Functions:
(Although the following job functions have been identified as “secondary”, any employee capable of performing the “secondary” job functions is expected to do so.)
1. Serve on various OneLegacy committees as needed.
2. Perform administrative duties as needed in Finance & Accounting Department
3. Supports the organization’s Standards of Professional Conduct as outlined in the OneLegacy Employee Handbook, and the mission, vision and values.
4. Performs other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.


Skills and Abilities:
1. Interpersonal skills.
2. Initiative and judgment skills.
3. Communication skills, written and oral.
4. Knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPS) is essential.
5. Knowledge of NetSuite is preferred but not necessary.

Physical Environment/Working Conditions:
Location: Corporate office. The office is a non-smoking facility.
Travel: Occasionally required to travel by personal auto or air to meeting sites and other locations.
Work Hours: Forty-hour workweek as determined by assigned shift. Assigned days or shift can be changed at any time.

Job Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred. A Bachelor’s degree may substitute for 4 years of work experience.
Experience: A minimum of five years in Accounts Receivable (A/R) and/or Accounting.
Certification/License: OneLegacy requires employees to maintain a current California driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
Equipment: Working knowledge of personal computer, fax machines, telephone systems, photocopier, postage machine and 10-key adding machine. Reliable automotive transportation required.

Salary Range: $46,675.20 - $67,683.20

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, OneLegacy considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
