Job Details

Responsibilities

• Lead trust and estate litigation matters end to end, including case strategy, budgeting, and timelines.
• Draft and argue pleadings, law and motion, discovery, trial briefs, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct and defend depositions; manage written discovery and e-discovery.
• Handle mediations, settlement conferences, and regular court appearances.
• Liaise directly with clients, fiduciaries, beneficiaries, experts, and opposing counsel.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of recent Trust & Estate litigation experience (required), including probate and fiduciary disputes.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy; motion practice and deposition experience.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload with strategic thinking, urgency, and attention to detail.
• Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Preferred first or second-chair trial experience in probate or civil matters and/or contested accountings, will/trust contests, breach of fiduciary duty, removal/surcharge, undue influence, and elder abuse claims.
