Senior Accountant

In this critical role, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for the manufacturing site. You’ll be the backbone of the month\-end and year\-end close processes, collaborating across departments to provide the financial insights that drive the business forward. <\/span> You’ll partner with the Plant Manager to improve processes and productivity and will be a key member of the plant management team. <\/span>

What You’ll Do <\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

• Financial Reporting: <\/span><\/b> Prepare monthly financial reports, key templates, and weekly sales reporting analysis. <\/span>
  <\/li>
  
  
• The Close Process: <\/span><\/b> Manage GL entries, ICO accruals, and timely reconciliations for all balance sheet and key income statement accounts. <\/span>
  <\/li>
  
  
• Operations & Inventory: <\/span><\/b> Partner with operations to resolve inventory issues and lead year\-end inventory counts and adjustments. <\/span>
  <\/li>
  
  
• Asset Management: <\/span><\/b> Oversee Fixed Assets and Intangible Assets, ensuring accurate recording, depreciation, and CIP tracking. <\/span>
  <\/li>
  
  
• Budgeting & Analysis: <\/span><\/b> Assist the Controller with forecasts and budgets while reviewing GLs for appropriateness and managing third\-party rebate calculations. <\/span>
  <\/li>
  
  
• Banking & Tax: <\/span><\/b> Review weekly payables\/ACH activity and flag important tax communications for the leadership team. <\/span>

  Requirements <\/h3>
  
  

  
  
  • Experience: <\/span><\/b> 3–5 years of accounting experience (Senior Accountant or similar role preferred). <\/span>
    <\/li>
    
    
  • Education: <\/span><\/b> BA in Accounting or a related field. <\/span>
    <\/li>
    
    
  • Tech Savvy: <\/span><\/b> Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (specifically pivot tables) and accounting software. <\/span>
    <\/li>
    
    
  • Manufacturing Experience <\/span><\/b> : <\/span> cost accounting & understanding of manufacturing accounting & inventory required <\/span>
    <\/li>
    
    
  • QuickBooks <\/span><\/b> experience is a plus!<\/span>
    <\/li>
    
    
  • Communication: <\/span><\/b> Strong financial acumen with the ability to explain the "why" behind the numbers to various stakeholders. <\/span>
    <\/li>
