IT Systems & Reporting Technician
Atlas Disposal is a leading waste and recycling services provider with a strong presence in California, Utah, and Arizona. Atlas Disposal is seeking a skilled and service-oriented IT Systems & Reporting Technician to serve as the primary internal IT resource. This role is responsible for day-to-day IT operations, user support, systems administration, and coordination with a third-party IT services provider. The ideal candidate will ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of technology systems across multiple locations, while delivering exceptional internal customer service and supporting business reporting needs.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary internal point of contact for IT support across all company locations in California, Utah, and Arizona.
- Provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
- Coordinate with the managed service provider (MSP) for help desk tickets, troubleshooting, and Microsoft 365 support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and access issues when the MSP is unavailable or unable to resolve them.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, procedures, and data processes, ensuring information is shared with internal leadership and the MSP.
- Administer and support business systems such as Soft-Pak, Navusoft, Crystal Reports, and call center platforms (RingCentral and Max).
- Coordinate with the MSP on Microsoft 365 administration, including Teams and SharePoint, to ensure access and workflow requirements are met.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requirements, and support onboarding and offboarding processes in collaboration with HR and the MSP.
- Support new entity, location, or operational system setups, including data preparation and system configuration.
- Serve as the day-to-day liaison with the third-party IT service provider, opening and tracking support tickets and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Coordinate system upgrades, maintenance, and projects with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Design, develop, and maintain operational and financial reports using Crystal Reports, Excel, or other software as requested.
- Extract, validate, transform, and import data from enterprise systems to support reporting and operational decision-making.
- Assist with enforcing IT security policies, access controls, and device standards, and monitor and report security issues to the MSP and management.
- Support data backups, disaster recovery processes, and business continuity planning in coordination with vendors.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with employees regarding IT issues, outages, and system changes, and provide practical guidance for non-technical users.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on IT support or systems administration experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (including Teams and SharePoint), Excel, and Crystal Reports.
- Experience with user and device management, basic networking, and enterprise software environments.
- Experience with Soft-Pak or Navusoft is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation, with professionalism, patience, and accountability in user support.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with external IT providers and follow escalation protocols.
- Experience building reports using Crystal Reports and Excel.
- Hands-on experience extracting, validating, transforming, and importing data in enterprise systems.
- Comfort working with structured data and reconciling results after system imports.
