ANALYST III – FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT / DISTRICT FACILITIES MANAGEMENT / McCLELLAN

The reporting location for this position is District Facilities Management located in McClellan, CA. This position will work under the general direction of Manager II.

California State Parks is looking for a Statewide Asset Management & Housing Analyst to lead two critical statewide programs: Maximo (the department's asset management system) and the Employee Housing Program, which supports approximately 900 park residences across California.

The Analyst III will analyze complex data, identify trends and risks, and develop recommendations that shape policy, improve operations, and support executive decision-making. The work directly impacts how State Parks manages infrastructure, supports park operations, and ensures consistent housing practices statewide. The position will collaborate with leadership, field staff, IT partners, and a variety of stakeholders across the Department.

Working Conditions

This is primarily an office-centered position with occasional statewide travel. Work may include site visits to park units and operational facilities for data verification, project scoping, and interagency coordination.

1. This position supports statewide programs that require coordination across multiple stakeholders. Describe your experience working with diverse groups (ex. Leadership, field staff, technical teams) to implement a process, system, or program improvement. What challenges did you encounter and how did you measure consistency and alignment?

2. Describe a time when you utilized data to identify a problem or inconsistency within a program or system. What data did you review? How did you determine there was an issue and what actions did you take?

3. Describe a time when you had to work with others who had different priorities, perspectives, or levels of urgency than you. How did you approach the situation? What did you do to move the work forward and what was the outcome?
