Job Description :

iQuasar has an opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to support the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) Project OVERMATCH office. Project OVERMATCH focuses on delivering reliable communications for a widely distributed hybrid force. Its goal is to enable seamless execution of mission-critical operations and provide a decision-making edge through a robust digital ecosystem, enabling the Naval enterprise to confidently and effectively achieve commanders' intent. This position requires an understanding of the Navys digital enterprise, and its development and integration into the fleet.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Support simple task automation, pattern recognition, and contextual reasoning, and have the capability to develop and implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) of repetitive and routine manual transactional processes.

• Employ advanced knowledge of statistical and mathematical theories and techniques that relate to weighting, outlier and missing data adjustments, data analysis, projections, and variance estimation.

• Employ data mining methods for structured and unstructured data, and configure large, complex data sets using sophisticated software and appropriate methods to uncover patterns in data, and establish hidden relationships.

• Employ analytics, statistical methods and machine learning in building predictive models.

• The Contractor shall design and implement analytical opportunity projects that apply valid analytical techniques and use information obtained from baselines or historical data to structure uncompromised and efficient
  analyses. This will require exploration and hypothesis development to gain insight or knowledge from the data.

• Implement troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities and demonstrate proficient knowledge of Applied Predictive Technologies, Excel, Statistical Analysis Software (SAS), R Programming Language (R), SQL, Python, Tableau, UiPath, and other reporting and associated tools to harness data and turn it into insights to answer crucial business questions from internal and external data sources.

• Employ critical analysis of tasks to support the information products it produces. This may involve managing repositories of information to facilitate information access and reuse, such as data warehouses and knowledge management archives.

Required Skills :

• Strong understanding of testing and implementation of computer databases and database tools and management systems

• Ability to plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases

• Maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team

• Knowledge of, and proficient in, MS office and repository tools including Sharepoint, Excel, and MS Word.

• Fully adjudicated DoD Security SECRET clearance

Desired Skills :

• Ability to utilize MS Data Analytics tools, e.g., Power BI.

• Strong knowledge of Applied Predictive Technologies, Excel, Statistical Analysis Software (SAS), R Programming Language (R), SQL, Python, Tableau, UiPath.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Eligibility for Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance

Education :

• Bachelors degree in Computer Systems, Database Management, Information Management Systems, or equivalent degree

• Advanced or graduate degree in similar fields of study
