Summary

The Senior Lead Engineer, Electrical Design develops new electrical systems/circuits for various applications. Research system ideas and draw up plans for these systems, and capture them in schematics and system specifications. Test, simulate, validate and qualify their systems and make adjustments as needed. Provide support throughout the manufacturing of the electrical systems they have designed.
The Senior Lead Engineer, Electrical Design works in cross functional teams with other designers, customers, manufacturing engineering and project leadership to ensure robust and high quality product development. Enhance designs with feedback from reviews in areas such as manufacturing, test, supply chain, reliability, industrial design and simulations.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Design of Electronic Hardware – from initial requirements decomposition through prototype development, through release to Production, and post production support
• Decompose requirements into design specifications, block diagrams, etc
• Proficient in the use of schematic capture tools, simulation tools, test equipment, as required
• Experience with Ethernet Switches, CPU Servers, GPU Accelerators, Storage Servers a plus
• Experience with PCIe, I2C, DDR, SPI, XAUI, and high-speed serial interfaces a plus
• Experience with Power Integrity, Signal Integrity a plus
• Experience using PCB Layout tools a plus

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
• Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Typical Experience

• 4 to 6 years in a similar role or industry.

Typical Education

Bachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary

The stated range includes Base Salary and target Short-Term Incentive (STI) compensation only. A comprehensive benefits package is offered in addition to this range.

$115 - 170K
