Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, ICU – Fortuna, CA 95540

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Northern California

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (06:30 - 18:30). Weekend requirement: 2 weekends out of 4 off (weekend defined as 2 consecutive days Friday-Sunday). Call required for low census. Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment at an acute care facility with a 4-bed ICU unit
• Patient ratio of 2:1 across all shifts with average daily census of 4 patients
• First-time travelers welcome with 1 year of experience required
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services
• 12-hour orientation provided; scrubs or business casual attire accepted
• Requested time off limited to no more than 7 days during assignment

Requirements:

• Active California RN license preferred (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips, blood product administration, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Willingness to float within the facility or to affiliate hospitals nearby
