We are looking to hire a Financial Analyst in the city of North Hollywood, CA This is a Contract to Hire opportunity to join an aerospace manufacturing company!

Pay: $40.00- $42.00/hour

Schedule : Monday- Friday; 8am- 4:30pm

Job Type: Contract; Possibility to be temp to perm.

Position Summary

Our client, a well-established aerospace manufacturing company, is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to provide temporary support to its Accounting and Finance team. This role will play a key part in daily financial reporting, budgeting support, cost accounting, and month-end activities during a period of transition. There is potential for this opportunity to evolve into a longer-term position based on business needs.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in a manufacturing environment, and a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and cost analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly management reports, including labor, expense, and operational performance reports.
• Analyze and monitor Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) and credit memo activity.
• Manage vendor setup and maintenance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and management presentations.
• Support the Controller with special projects and financial analysis as needed.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and provide Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable support.
• Perform variance analysis and investigate financial discrepancies.
• Participate in physical inventory counts and inventory reconciliation activities.
• Perform cost accounting functions, including standard cost rolls and related cost analyses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in financial analysis and general accounting within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of cost accounting principles and inventory accounting.
• Experience preparing financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
